Ride through fertile foothills near Mount Kilimanjaro, explore forests and waterfalls, visit Maasai and Chagga communities, relax in turquoise hot springs, and conclude with an unforgettable safari in Tarangire National Park. This journey blends active exploration with authentic local experiences—bringing you closer to the landscapes, wildlife, and cultures that define northern Tanzania.


Day 1: Arrival & Arusha City Tour (Overnight in Arusha)

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. Enjoy a guided tour of Arusha, exploring vibrant markets and local landmarks while preparing for the adventure ahead.


Day 2: Meru Camp – Forest Bicycling & Napuru Waterfalls (Overnight in Arusha)

Cycle along scenic forest trails near Mount Meru, surrounded by fresh mountain air and beautiful landscapes. Continue to Napuru Waterfalls for a guided walk to the cascading falls before returning to Arusha.


Day 3: Meru Village Bike Tour (Overnight in Arusha)

Pedal through a traditional Meru village, riding past farms, homes, and open countryside. Interact with local residents and gain insight into agricultural practices and everyday rural life in this welcoming community.


Day 4: Materuni Waterfalls Bike Tour & Coffee Experience (Overnight in Marangu – Historic Kibo Hotel)

Ride toward the lush foothills of Kilimanjaro and continue to Materuni Waterfalls, where a guided walk leads to one of the region’s most scenic waterfalls. Enjoy the cool mist and peaceful setting before participating in a traditional Chagga coffee experience—harvesting, roasting, grinding, and brewing your own cup.

In the evening, settle into the historic Kibo Hotel in Marangu, known for its charm and proximity to Kilimanjaro’s slopes.


Day 5: Banana Villages Bike Tour (Overnight in Marangu)

Begin your ride at the historic Kibosho Cathedral Church and cycle through more than four vibrant villages surrounded by banana and coffee farms. Cross small rivers, ride shaded rural paths, and enjoy sweeping views of the fertile countryside while meeting friendly Chagga locals along the way.

Midday, stop at Mama Lisa’s home in Okaseni Village for a warm culinary experience, where you’ll enjoy a traditional lunch and learn to prepare dishes such as banana stew and ugali. After a refreshing downhill ride toward Moshi, transfer to Marangu for your overnight stay.


Day 6: Rau Forest Bike Tour (Overnight in Marangu)

Cycle through the peaceful Rau Forest Reserve, a lush sanctuary rich in biodiversity. The forest is home to black-and-white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys, often seen moving through the treetops. Shaded trails, towering trees, and birdsong create a refreshing and immersive nature experience.


Day 7: Ngabobo Corridor Bike Tour (Overnight in Marangu)

Ride along the Ngabobo Corridor, a scenic route connecting rural communities and open savannah landscapes. With wide views and gently rolling terrain, there is a good chance of spotting wildlife such as zebras and giraffes along the way. This unique ride blends village life with natural beauty and wildlife encounters.


Day 8: Maasai Village to Chemka Hot Springs & Kikuletwa Waterfalls (Overnight in Arusha)

Visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about pastoral traditions and cultural heritage. From there, cycle toward Chemka (Kikuletwa) Hot Springs, where crystal-clear turquoise waters offer a refreshing swim. Explore nearby Kikuletwa Waterfalls before returning to Arusha.


Day 9: Mto wa Mbu Bike Tour (Overnight in Karatu – Camping or Lodge Options)

Travel to Mto wa Mbu, a culturally diverse village near Lake Manyara. Cycle through rice fields, banana plantations, and lively neighborhoods while learning about the many tribes that coexist in this vibrant community. During your ride, visit a scenic waterfall and a sacred baobab tree that holds cultural significance for local residents.

In the evening, you will have the option to camp under the stars, stay in a comfortable lodge, or upgrade to a premium lodge in Karatu—allowing you to tailor your experience to your preferred level of comfort.


Day 10: Tarangire National Park Safari (Return to Arusha / Departure)

Conclude your adventure with a full game drive in Tarangire National Park, known for its towering baobab trees and impressive elephant herds. Explore vast savannah landscapes and riverine areas while searching for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife.

After your safari, enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha with time to reflect on your cycling journey and wildlife experiences. You will be transferred to your accommodation for an overnight stay or to the airport later that evening or the following day for your departure.
