The Elevation Acclimatization Tour begins at the lively Kibosho Kirima Market, where you’ll be dropped off by vehicle before starting your scenic ascent by bike. From the market, you’ll ride through the cool mountain air toward the historic Kibosho Cathedral Church—a striking landmark built by German missionaries and one of the oldest churches in the region.

Your journey continues with a steady climb to the Mweka Gate, one of the official entry points to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Here you can soak in the atmosphere of the mountain and the excitement of trekkers beginning or ending their climb. After leaving the gate, you’ll be welcomed into a local Chagga family’s home for a hearty lunch featuring regional flavors and warm hospitality.

Next, you’ll explore an organic banana farm, learning how bananas—and the many products made from them—play a central role in Chagga agriculture and daily life. With new energy and insights, you’ll get back on your bike and head to the beautiful Mawella Cathedral Church before cruising downhill toward Moshi.
